Host a bingo game must be quick and easy
Sometimes we may wonder what drives a person to devote much time and energy into developing a web application. When I use a website, I want to understand why it exists. As the founder of Bingo Maker, I want to explain what motivated me in this process. I hope to inspire other entrepreneurs to provide services, create web applications to benefit the entire Internet.
I discovered a new way to play bingo in a pub in Edmonton, Alberta, called “Bingo Tunes”. I use to play with friends every week for many years, the game very entertaining. Basically, the DJ was playing some music, and the players had to mark down the titles on their cards. When a player got 5 consecutive squares, he won a glass of beer or other prizes. When I left Edmonton, I wanted to import the game back to my hometown, where no one never hear about this way to play bingo. After several searches on the Internet, I quickly realized that no practical web service enabled me to easily create custom bingo cards, with music titles in the card’s squares. Still today, some websites offer to buy and download questionable programs that must be installed on the hard drive. Other websites offer an online service, but they do not have a lot of customization options and the cards are not ready to print. As there appeared to be no service that could meet my needs, I decided to create one.
In order to make the process as user friendly as possible, I develop the web application Bingo Maker. After 3 years of research and development, we successfully virtualize the cards and the bingo caller. As a result, those interested can freely make their own custom cards and host a bingo without the need to print any bingo cards.
